How about some award-winning science books!
The Canadian Science Writers Association just awarded two prizes to “honour outstanding contributions to science writing.” There were two categories this year – one for children (ages 8-12) and one for the general public. All authors that published in Canada were eligible. The winners are Fatal Flaws by Jay Ingram (for the general category) and the Big Green Book about the Big Blue Sea by Helaine Becker (for the children’s category. Although, now that exams are through, you want some of your innocence and sense of wonder back, right?).
You can find Fatal Flaws here on Amazon or as an ebook at the McGill Library, and the Big Green Book about the Big Blue Sea here. (I wish we were sponsored by Amazon, but alas, it’s just convenient link.)
